Setting Up Screensaver Rules
Screensaver rules in IZI CRM control what idle PCs display — images or video — when no session is running. Each rule defines the media content, the target devices or zones, and the active schedule. When multiple rules match the same device simultaneously, IZI picks the one sitting highest in the list, so rule order is your main tool for resolving conflicts.
Navigate to: Equipment → Screensavers in the left sidebar.
How rules work
Section titled “How rules work”A screensaver rule has three parts:
| Part | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Creatives | Up to 5 images or 1 video; files play in list order |
| Targeting | Specific PCs and/or zones (OR logic) |
| Configuration | Rule name and active schedule |
Rules are evaluated top-to-bottom. The first rule whose targeting and schedule match the device is applied; all lower rules are ignored for that device at that moment.
Creating a screensaver rule
Section titled “Creating a screensaver rule”Click Add screensaver.
Step 1 — Upload media files
Section titled “Step 1 — Upload media files”In the Creatives section, upload your images or video. Files play in the order shown in the list — drag to rearrange.
- Maximum 5 files per rule
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP, MP4
Step 2 — Select targets
Section titled “Step 2 — Select targets”In the Targeting section, choose the devices or zones this rule should cover. You can mix zones and individual devices; they work with OR logic, meaning the rule applies to any device that matches at least one selected target.
Step 3 — Name and schedule
Section titled “Step 3 — Name and schedule”In the Configuration panel:
- Enter a name for the rule
- Choose a schedule — the time window during which the rule is active
Click Save.
Editing a rule
Section titled “Editing a rule”Click the rule name or the Edit button in the list to open it and make changes.
Deleting a rule
Section titled “Deleting a rule”Click Delete next to the rule. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Changing rule priority
Section titled “Changing rule priority”Rules run top-to-bottom. Drag rules in the list to reorder them. The first rule whose conditions match a device wins — move high-priority content to the top.

Frequently asked questions
Where do I find screensaver settings in IZI CRM?
Go to Equipment → Screensavers in the left sidebar.
How many media files can one screensaver rule hold?
Up to 5 files per rule — either images (JPG, PNG, WEBP) or one video (MP4).
What happens if several rules match the same device at the same time?
IZI applies the rule that sits highest in the list. The first matching rule always wins.
Can I target individual PCs and whole zones in the same rule?
Yes. Targets combine by OR logic — add specific devices and zones in any combination.
Is rule deletion reversible?
No. Deleting a screensaver rule is permanent. Deactivate the rule instead if you may need it later.
