Compare Periods

The compare periods feature lets you put two time periods side by side — this week vs last week, this month vs the same month last year, post-promotion vs pre-promotion.

Why this matters

A single number rarely tells you whether the club is improving. “Revenue was $12,000 last week” means nothing without a reference point. Comparison turns every report into a trend signal: is ARPU climbing or sliding, did the new tariff actually move hall utilisation, is the drop in active clients seasonal or a real problem. Owners who check comparisons weekly catch a decline early, while owners who only look at raw totals notice it months later — after it has already cost several weeks of revenue.

How to use it

In any analytics report:

1. Set the primary period using the date range picker.
2. Enable Compare toggle.
3. Set the comparison period — the same length by default (auto-fills the preceding period), or choose custom dates.

The report now shows two columns per metric: primary period value and comparison period value, plus the percentage change between them.

All main metrics support comparison:

• Revenue (total, by payment method, by zone)
• Session count and duration
• Active clients
• ARPU
• Hall utilisation
• Bar revenue

Useful comparisons

Week over week — spot short-term trends. Has something changed in the last 7 days?

Month over month — assess whether the club is growing or declining.

Same period last year — account for seasonality. October this year vs October last year is more meaningful than October vs September.

Before and after a change — launched a new tariff or promotion? Compare the two weeks before and after.

Frequently asked questions

Does the comparison period have to be the same length as the primary period?

No. IZI auto-fills the immediately preceding period of matching length as a starting point, but you can pick any custom comparison range independently once the toggle is on.

Is the comparison saved if I leave the report and come back?

Yes, within the same session — the club’s analytics section remembers your last selected primary and comparison range so you don’t have to reset it every time you open a different report.
