Club Currency and Locale in IZI CRM
Currency and locale is how IZI displays all monetary amounts: at the POS, on receipts, in analytics. Configure them once before starting operations.
Where to open: left panel → Settings → Currency and Locale
Currency
Section titled “Currency”Select the currency code from the dropdown (ISO 4217 format: USD, GBP, EUR, AED, etc.).
After selection IZI applies to this code:
- The currency symbol ($, £, €, AED…)
- Default number of decimal places
- Symbol position relative to the amount
Important: set currency before the first transaction. If changed after data exists — historical amounts will display in the new currency without conversion, distorting reports.
For networks with clubs in different countries: currency is configured separately for each club. One club — one currency.
Decimal Places
Section titled “Decimal Places”By default IZI uses 2 decimal places (standard for most currencies). If your currency has no fractional units — set 0 decimal places. This affects how amounts display at the POS, on receipts and in analytics.
Locale
Section titled “Locale”Locale determines how IZI formats numbers and dates — not just for staff at the POS, but also for clients in notifications and on receipts.
What locale changes:
| Parameter | en_US example | en_GB example |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal separator | 99.90 | 99.90 |
| Thousands separator | 1,000 | 1,000 |
| Date format | 05/31/2026 | 31/05/2026 |
| Time format | 11:45 PM | 23:45 |
Select the locale that matches the club’s country and language. For clubs in the UAE — en_AE, for the UK — en_GB, for Australia — en_AU, etc.
Document Language
Section titled “Document Language”Document language controls the text on receipts and fiscal documents: column headers, words like “Total”, “Cashier”, “Thank you for your purchase”, etc.
Choose the language your clients understand. For clubs with a multilingual audience — choose the primary language used at the POS.
Document language does not affect the CRM interface for staff — that is configured separately in the user profile.
Practical Recommendations
Section titled “Practical Recommendations”Before filling in other settings, make sure:
- Currency is correct and matches your POS / payment terminal currency.
- Locale corresponds to the club’s country.
- Decimal places suit your currency.
If the club uses POS hardware — also verify the currency format matches what your fiscal printer accepts. A format mismatch can cause errors when printing receipts.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the club currency configured in IZI CRM?
Left panel → Settings → Currency and Locale tab. Currency code, number separators and document language are all set there.
Can currency be changed after the club already has transactions?
Technically yes — the field is editable. But changing currency after operations start means historical amounts will display in the new currency without conversion. Best to set currency before the first transaction.
What is 'locale' and why configure it?
Locale determines how numbers are displayed (period or comma for decimals), dates (day/month/year or month/day/year) and time. Without the correct locale, amounts and dates on receipts may look unfamiliar to clients.
Does receipt language depend on locale?
Document language and locale are related but separate parameters. Locale controls formatting; language controls text (column headers, words like 'total', 'thank you', etc.). They usually match: locale en_US → English document language.
We have multiple clubs in different countries — is currency set separately for each?
Yes. Currency and locale are club-level settings, not organisation-level. Each club in the network can have its own currency.
How many decimal places does IZI support?
Standard — 2 decimal places (for most currencies). For currencies with no fractional unit (e.g. Japanese Yen) set 0 decimal places.
Does the currency symbol appear before or after the amount?
Order is determined by locale. For most locales IZI follows the standard: en_US — symbol before amount ($100), en_GB — symbol before amount (£100), currencies like AED typically use the code after (100 AED).
