Switch Between Organizations in IZI CRM
Switch Between Organizations in IZI CRM
Section titled “Switch Between Organizations in IZI CRM”If your account covers multiple organizations — separate legal entities or brands — you can move between them directly from the IZI CRM sidebar without logging out. The organization switcher sits at the top of the left sidebar, shows the current organization name with a chevron-down indicator, and opens a dropdown listing every organization you have access to. Selecting one switches the entire CRM context instantly: clubs, roles, settings, and analytics all update to reflect the chosen organization. IZI also remembers your last selection and reopens it automatically on the next login. If you have not created an organization yet, start with the getting-started guide for creating your first organization.
Why this matters for multi-venue operators
Section titled “Why this matters for multi-venue operators”Businesses with several legal entities — one entity per club, a holding company across brands, or clubs operating in different countries with different tax regimes — get fully isolated data containers in IZI. Each organization maintains its own clubs, tariffs, client base, financials, and settings independently. The switcher is your entry point into each container, not just a filter: once switched, you see exclusively that organization’s data.
Common scenarios where this matters:
- Two brands targeting different audiences with different pricing structures — each brand lives in its own organization.
- A network of clubs across multiple countries with different currencies and compliance requirements.
- A holding where the managing director sees all organizations and a club manager sees only one.
Where to find the switcher
Section titled “Where to find the switcher”The organization switcher is in the left sidebar of the CRM, at the very top — immediately below the IZI logo.
When the sidebar is expanded, the switcher appears as a rectangular button containing:
- the current organization icon (IZI logo),
- the organization name,
- a ChevronDown arrow indicating a dropdown.
When the sidebar is collapsed, the switcher reduces to a square icon and the dropdown cannot be opened. Expand the sidebar first by clicking the collapse/expand control.
How to switch organizations — step by step
Section titled “How to switch organizations — step by step”Step 1. Open the CRM and make sure the left sidebar is expanded. If it is collapsed, click the sidebar toggle control to expand it.
Step 2. Click the organization switcher at the top of the sidebar. A dropdown opens listing all organizations your account can access. The currently active organization is highlighted with a branded background and border.
Step 3. Select the organization you want to work in. A loading indicator (spinning icon) appears on the button while the CRM loads the new organization’s data.
Step 4. Once loaded, the CRM opens in the context of the selected organization. The browser URL updates to include the organization identifier — you can bookmark this URL or share it with a colleague who has the appropriate access rights.
Adding a new organization from the switcher
Section titled “Adding a new organization from the switcher”At the bottom of the dropdown there is an Add organization button. It is visible only to accounts with the right to create organizations (typically the owner). Clicking it launches the standard onboarding flow: naming the organization, selecting a currency, and configuring basic settings.
If the button is not visible, that is expected: your account does not have organization-creation rights under its current plan or role.
Auto-selection priority on login
Section titled “Auto-selection priority on login”When you open the CRM, IZI resolves which organization to show using the following priority order:
| Priority | Condition | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | A pending invitation exists (pendingInviteOrgId) | CRM opens the organization from the invitation |
| 2 | The URL contains an organization identifier | CRM opens the organization specified in the URL |
| 3 | A saved selection exists (selectedOrganizationId) | CRM opens the last active organization |
| 4 | None of the above apply | CRM opens the first organization in the list |
| — | No organizations exist | CRM redirects to onboarding |
In practice this means: if a colleague shares a direct link to a page inside their organization and you do not have access to it, the CRM silently redirects you to your own last active organization.
Data isolation between organizations
Section titled “Data isolation between organizations”Switching organizations completely changes the working context:
- Clubs — the club list belongs to the specific organization; clubs in another organization are not visible.
- Clients — client bases are separate by default and do not overlap between organizations.
- Tariffs — each organization manages its own tariffs independently.
- Roles and permissions — a staff member can hold different roles in different organizations under the same login.
- Analytics — organization-level reports show data only for the clubs in the currently active organization.
If you need a shared client base across multiple clubs, configure that at the club network level within a single organization. If you need one login to access multiple organizations, a single account is enough — the switcher gives access to all organizations linked to your account.
Access control: who sees which organization
Section titled “Access control: who sees which organization”Which organizations appear in the switcher is determined by roles and permissions settings. Default behavior:
- The owner sees all organizations created under their account.
- A staff member sees only the organizations they have been invited into.
- An admin invited to a specific club inside an organization sees that organization — but may not see others under the same account.
To add a staff member to an organization, switch to that organization using the switcher, then open the roles section. Full instructions are in the guide How to configure a role and grant access to a staff member.
Switching between clubs within an organization
Section titled “Switching between clubs within an organization”Do not confuse the organization switcher with the club switcher. When an organization has multiple clubs, you select a specific club via a separate UI element located lower in the sidebar. The club switcher and the organization switcher are two independent navigation levels.
For details on navigating between clubs, see Switch Between Clubs in IZI CRM.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Can I be in two organizations at the same time? No. At any given moment the CRM operates in the context of one organization. To see both simultaneously, open two separate browser windows with different organization URLs.
Does switching organizations reset the page I was on? Yes. When you select a different organization the CRM redirects you to that organization’s home page. The section you had open — for example, a report — is not preserved.
One of my organizations disappeared from the list — what should I do? Check whether the subscription for that organization is active. If a subscription is paused or expired, the organization may disappear from the list or appear with limited access. Also verify that your invitation has not been revoked.
Can I transfer an organization to a different owner? Ownership transfers are handled through IZI support — this is not a self-serve action available in the CRM.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the organization switcher in IZI CRM?
At the very top of the left sidebar, directly below the IZI logo. It shows the current organization name and a chevron-down arrow. When the sidebar is collapsed, the switcher shrinks to a square icon — expand the sidebar first to open the dropdown.
What happens when I switch organizations?
The CRM fully reloads its context: clubs, settings, analytics, roles, and permissions all change to match the selected organization. You see only the data belonging to that organization.
Does IZI remember which organization I last used?
Yes. IZI saves your last selection in browser storage and automatically opens that organization on your next login.
Can I add a new organization from the switcher?
Yes. At the bottom of the dropdown there is an Add organization button. Clicking it launches the standard onboarding flow to name the organization, pick a currency, and configure basic settings. The button is only visible to accounts with organization-creation rights (typically the owner).
What does a staff member see if they only have access to one organization?
The switcher is still visible, but the dropdown contains only that one organization. The Add organization button is hidden — adding organizations is reserved for the owner role.
Does switching organizations affect analytics?
Yes. All reports — revenue, sessions, ARPU, clients — display data only for the clubs in the currently active organization. There is no cross-organization summary view in the standard dashboard.
