Bar Orders — Overview

Bar orders in IZI are created whenever players order food or drinks — via the mobile app or at the front desk. The Bar Orders section has two screens: the Live Board for processing active orders in real time, and History for reviewing completed and cancelled orders. Together they give bar staff and shift admins full visibility over order flow without switching between systems.

The Live Board displays all active orders as cards arranged in three columns:

  • Pending — order received, not yet picked up by staff
  • In Progress — order is being prepared
  • Ready for Pickup — all items are ready, awaiting handoff to the player

1. Take into work — moves the order from Pending to In Progress and starts the preparation timer.

2. Mark ready — each item in the order is confirmed individually as it is prepared. This lets staff handle multi-item orders progressively.

3. Deliver — mark individual items as delivered, or use Deliver All to complete the entire order at once. The order moves to the Delivered status once every item has been handed off.

You can add a comment to any item at any stage — for special requests, allergen notes, or handoff messages between staff.

Every step on the Live Board is reversible:

  • Undo Ready — remove the ready mark from an item
  • Undo Delivery / Undo All — reverse a delivery for one or all items
  • Return to Pending — send the whole order back to Pending (only available if no items have been marked ready yet)

Click Cancel Order on any active order card. Cancelled orders disappear from the Live Board and are recorded in the History with a Cancelled status.

The History screen is a table of all orders — active and completed — with search and filters.

Columns: Created, Status, Client, Items, Amount, Taken Into Work, Wait Time, Prep Time.

Filters: search by item or client name, status, client, date range.

Click any row to open the full order card with a complete item-level breakdown.

IZI tracks two time intervals per order:

  • Wait Time — from order creation to the moment staff take it into work
  • Prep Time — from In Progress to delivery

Both timers are shown on the order card during processing and stored in the History table. They give shift admins a factual basis for reviewing service speed — for example, identifying peak periods where wait times spike or individual orders that took unusually long to prepare.

Where do bar orders come from?

Orders are created when players order food or drinks either through the mobile app or at the front desk. All orders appear instantly on the Live Board in the CRM.

What are the three columns on the Live Board?

Pending (order received, not yet picked up), In Progress (being prepared), and Ready for Pickup (all items ready, awaiting handoff).

Can I undo a step after marking an item ready?

Yes. Use Undo Ready to remove the ready mark from an item, or Undo Delivery / Undo All to reverse a handoff. You can also return the whole order to Pending if no items have been marked ready yet.

How do I cancel an order?

Click Cancel Order on any active order card. Cancelled orders are removed from the board and recorded in the order history.
