Screensavers & Banners in IZI CRM
The Screensavers section in IZI CRM controls what is displayed on your club’s PCs. It has two subsections: Screensavers (shown on idle machines with no active session) and Banners (image widgets shown in the player interface sidebar during active sessions). Both work through a rule-based system — each rule defines the media to display, which devices or zones to target, and the schedule during which the rule is active.
Where to open: left panel → Screensavers
Screensavers
Section titled “Screensavers”Screensavers display images or video on any PC that has no active session running. As soon as a session starts on a machine, the screensaver clears and the player interface takes over.
Each screensaver rule defines:
- Media — up to 10 images (PNG, JPG, WebP; max 10 MB each) or one video file (MP4; max 100 MB). Images and video cannot be combined in the same rule.
- Targets — individual PCs, a zone, or all devices.
- Schedule — the date and time range during which the rule is active.
- Name — a label for identifying the rule in the list.
A real-time preview is available while editing, so you can verify how the content looks before saving.
Rule priority
Section titled “Rule priority”Rules are evaluated from top to bottom. The first rule that matches the current device and time window is applied — lower rules are ignored for that device. To adjust priority, drag and drop rules in the list. This lets you layer general defaults at the bottom with targeted overrides at the top — for example, a promotional screensaver for a specific zone during a weekend event, with a default brand screensaver underneath for all other times.
Banners
Section titled “Banners”Banners are image widgets displayed inside the player interface sidebar on a PC that has an active gaming session. Unlike screensavers, banners do not take over the whole screen — they occupy fixed sidebar slots alongside the session timer and other player-facing information.
Each banner rule defines:
- Media — images assigned to each slot. Multiple images per slot rotate at a configurable interval.
- Rotation interval — how often images cycle, in seconds.
- Targets — individual PCs, a zone, or all devices.
- Schedule — when the rule is active.
- Name — a label for the rule.
Banner slots
Section titled “Banner slots”Slots are the fixed positions available in the player sidebar. A single banner rule configures media for two modes:
| Mode | When it applies | Available slots |
|---|---|---|
| Free | PC has no active booking | Multiple sidebar sections |
| Busy | PC has an active session | Top slot only |
Media is configured separately for each slot within each mode. The preview shows how the banner looks in both Free and Busy states, so you can verify that content fits each layout before publishing.
Rotation interval applies per slot — images in a slot cycle automatically at the defined interval throughout the session.
Practical use
Section titled “Practical use”Screensavers are the most visible real estate in a club between sessions. Common uses:
- Brand and atmosphere imagery for idle machines
- Promotional content (limited-time tariff, upcoming event) targeted to a specific zone during relevant hours
- Sponsor or partner placements with time-based scheduling
Banners reach players while they are already playing — useful for:
- Cross-sell of bar orders or combo packages visible without interrupting the session
- Club news or event reminders shown in rotation
- Zone-specific content (e.g., a VIP section showing different imagery than the standard floor)
Because both systems use the same rule structure (media + targets + schedule), the workflow for setting up a screensaver and a banner rule is nearly identical. The key difference is the display context: idle vs. active.

What is the difference between a screensaver and a banner in IZI?
Screensavers appear on PCs with no active session — the machine is idle. Banners are widgets shown in the player interface sidebar during an active gaming session. Both are controlled by separate rule sets.
Can I target a screensaver to specific PCs or zones only?
Yes. Each rule lets you choose individual PCs, entire zones, or all devices as targets. This means you can show different content in different areas of the club simultaneously.
What media formats does IZI support for screensavers?
Images in PNG, JPG, or WebP format (up to 10 images per rule, max 10 MB each), or a single MP4 video file (max 100 MB). Images and video cannot be mixed within the same rule.
How does rule priority work?
Rules are evaluated top to bottom. The first rule that matches the device and the current time is applied. Drag and drop rules in the list to change their order and therefore their priority.
What are banner slots?
Slots are fixed positions in the player interface sidebar. A single banner rule configures media for two modes: Free (PC with no active booking) where multiple sidebar sections are available, and Busy (active session) where only the top slot is shown.
Can I preview how a screensaver or banner will look before publishing?
Yes. Both screensaver and banner rules show a real-time preview while you are editing the rule, so you can verify the layout and content before saving.
