Setting Up Zones in IZI
Setting Up Zones in IZI
Section titled “Setting Up Zones in IZI”Zones are how IZI groups gaming PCs under shared pricing rules. A Standard zone might bill at one rate, a VIP zone at a higher rate — all controlled through a single tariff with per-zone prices. Zones also control which tariffs appear at the cashier for a given seat.
Configure zones before adding devices — you’ll need at least one zone to assign each device to.
What zones control
Section titled “What zones control”- Pricing — each tariff has a separate price per zone. A “2-hour” tariff can cost different amounts in Standard vs VIP.
- Tariff availability — a tariff with no price set for a zone simply doesn’t appear at the cashier for seats in that zone.
- Screensaver targeting — screensaver rules can target a specific zone.
- Analytics filtering — revenue and session reports can be filtered by zone.
Step 1. Open Zones
Section titled “Step 1. Open Zones”In CRM go to Settings → Zones. Click Add zone.
Step 2. Name the zone and choose type
Section titled “Step 2. Name the zone and choose type”Enter a name — this appears in tariff configurations, device cards, and reports. Common names: Standard, VIP, Pro, Console, Kids. Choose whatever makes sense for your layout.
Select a zone type if applicable (gaming, VR, console, etc.) — this affects how the zone appears in the hall view.
Click Save.
Step 3. Repeat for each zone in your club
Section titled “Step 3. Repeat for each zone in your club”Create all zones before moving to device assignment. Typical setups:
| Club size | Typical zone structure |
|---|---|
| Small (up to 15 PCs) | Standard only, or Standard + VIP |
| Medium (15–40 PCs) | Standard + Pro + VIP |
| Large / multi-room | Standard + Pro + VIP + Console + Kids |
Step 4. Assign devices to zones
Section titled “Step 4. Assign devices to zones”When adding a device in Settings → Devices, select its zone in the device card. Existing devices can be reassigned to a different zone at any time — this doesn’t affect historical session data.
Step 5. Set per-zone prices in tariffs
Section titled “Step 5. Set per-zone prices in tariffs”In each tariff (Settings → Tariffs → [tariff name]), open the Prices by Zone block and enter a price for each zone. Leave a zone’s price blank to exclude that tariff from the cashier interface for that zone.
Common zone structures
Section titled “Common zone structures”Single zone — all PCs share one pricing tier. Simple to manage; works well for small clubs with a homogeneous PC fleet.
Standard + VIP — the most common setup. Standard seats use the main tariff grid; VIP seats (better hardware, quieter area) have a separate price tier in the same tariffs.
Standard + Pro + VIP — three-tier pricing. Pro is mid-tier hardware or a separate room. Useful for clubs that want a clear upgrade path for players.
Zone per room or floor — useful in large clubs or multi-floor venues. Each physical area gets its own zone; pricing can differ by area.

Section titled “See also”Frequently asked questions
How many zones can a club have?
There's no hard limit. Most clubs use 2–4 zones: Standard, Pro, VIP, and sometimes a kids or console zone. More zones means more flexibility in pricing but also more tariff configurations to maintain.
Can I change a device's zone after it's been operating?
Yes. Zone assignment is editable at any time in the device card. Active sessions on that device are not affected — the change applies to the next session.
Do I need separate tariffs for each zone?
No. One tariff can cover all zones — you set a separate price for each zone in the Prices by Zone block. A zone with no price set won't show the tariff at the cashier for that zone.
What happens if a device has no zone assigned?
The device can still be added to the club, but it won't be usable for sessions until it's assigned to a zone. Assign a zone before opening the hall.
