Creating Your First Tariff in IZI

Published: · IZI Team

A tariff defines how much a client pays for gaming time and under what conditions. You need at least one tariff before you can open a shift and accept clients.

Settings → Tariffs → Create Tariff

FieldWhat to enter
NameSomething clients will recognize: “Standard”, “Weekday Day Rate”, “Night Rate”
RatePrice per hour (IZI converts to per-minute for billing)
Minimum sessionOptional: minimum paid time (e.g., 30 minutes)
CurrencySet once at organization level — applies to all tariffs

Per minute (recommended): the most common for gaming clubs. Client pays exactly for the time used. Balance decreases in real time.

Fixed session: client pays a fixed amount for a defined time block (e.g., 2 hours for a flat price). Good for booking-style operations.

A tariff only works if it is assigned to at least one zone.

  1. Go to Settings → Zones
  2. Click the zone where this tariff applies
  3. Under Available Tariffs, add the new tariff

If you have not created zones yet, IZI creates a default zone automatically. Assign the tariff to that zone.

Back in Settings → Tariffs, toggle the tariff to Active.

Inactive tariffs are saved but not available for sessions. Use this to prepare seasonal rates in advance.

Most clubs start with two tariffs:

  1. Standard — base hourly rate, always available
  2. Night / Off-Peak — reduced rate for low-traffic hours, active on a schedule

For schedule-based pricing (day/night rates), see Tariff Schedules.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum tariff setup to start accepting clients?

You need at least one active tariff assigned to at least one zone. The tariff needs a name, a per-minute or per-hour rate, and a minimum session duration (or none). That's enough to open a shift and start sessions.

Can I have different prices for different zones?

Yes. Create separate tariffs for each zone (e.g., standard PCs vs. VIP zone) and assign each tariff to the corresponding zone. Clients pay the rate of the zone they are sitting in.

How does per-minute billing work?

IZI bills in real time: the client's balance decreases every minute at the per-minute rate (hourly rate ÷ 60). When the balance runs out, the session ends automatically and the PC locks.
