Gaming PC Management in IZI CRM: Devices Overview

Published: · Updated: (12 days ago)· IZI Team

The Devices section in IZI CRM is the registry of every gaming PC registered at your club. Each device is tied to a zone and identified by a unique code. From here you add new machines, edit their names and zone assignments, and archive retired hardware — keeping your Control Center accurate and your session data clean.

Where to open: left panel → Devices

The list shows all registered gaming PCs. Each row contains:

  • Name — numeric identifier (digits only)
  • Zone — the zone this device belongs to
  • UUID — unique hardware identifier assigned at pairing
  • Type — device type (PC, console, etc.)
  • Version — installed IZI client version on this machine

Use the toolbar to narrow the list:

  • Search by name — instant lookup by numeric device name
  • Zone — show only devices in a specific zone
  • Device type — filter by hardware category

Click Add Device. IZI walks you through a three-step pairing process:

  1. Download the IZI installer for Windows
  2. Install it on the gaming PC
  3. Generate a pairing code — valid for 4 hours. Enter this code in the installer to bind the machine to your club

After successful pairing the device appears in the list and is immediately available in the Control Center. Staff can start sessions and assign tariffs to it right away.

Click any device in the list to open its edit panel. You can change:

  • Name — numeric ID shown to staff in the Control Center
  • Zone — reassign the device to a different zone

All other identifiers (UUID, type, version) are set automatically at pairing and cannot be edited manually.

Zones group devices by physical or pricing area — for example, a VIP section, a standard floor, or a console corner. Zones are used in three places:

  • Tariff pricing — you can apply different tariffs to different zones, so VIP seats can carry a higher rate without a separate tariff list
  • Screensaver targeting — display different screensavers on machines in specific zones
  • Session reports — filter revenue and usage data by zone to see which area drives the most play time

Manage zones in the Zones subsection within Devices.

Archiving a device removes it from the Control Center — staff can no longer start sessions on it. The device’s historical session data is preserved; only its operational availability is disabled.

Archive a PC when you:

  • Retire or replace a machine
  • Take a station offline for maintenance for an extended period
  • Need to hide a test device from the active floor

You can restore an archived device at any time if the machine comes back into service.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Devices section show?

The Devices section lists every gaming PC registered in your club. Each row shows the device name (numeric ID), zone assignment, UUID, device type, and the installed version of the IZI client software.

How long is the pairing code valid?

The pairing code generated during device setup is valid for 4 hours. If it expires before you complete installation, generate a new one from the Add Device dialog.

What happens after pairing is complete?

The device appears in the Devices list and becomes available in the Control Center, where staff can start sessions, assign tariffs, and monitor activity on that PC.

Can I change a device's zone after pairing?
