Lock Screen for Club PCs

Published: · IZI Team

The lock screen is the image a gaming PC shows while it is locked. Style it for your club: a logo, a promotion, house rules.

Where to find it: Lock screens in the club settings, next to screensavers and wallpapers.

Like screensavers, the lock screen is configured with rules. Each rule sets:

  • Name — for the rule list
  • Image — exactly one, with no schedule and no slideshow
  • Targets — individual PCs, zones or both

If several rules match one PC, the one edited most recently is applied. A club can have up to 200 rules.

  1. Click Add lock screen.
  2. Enter a name.
  3. Upload an image.
  4. Choose the PCs or zones where it should appear. A rule cannot be saved without targets.
  5. Click Save.

While you set up the rule, a full-screen preview is shown on the right. It shows that the right part of the screen is taken by the IZI widget and the image sits under it, so keep important content away from the right edge.

A change reaches the PCs right after saving. You can edit or delete a rule from the list; deletion cannot be undone.

Lock screens are available to the same roles as screensavers. The standard Administrator role gets access automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How is the lock screen different from a screensaver and a wallpaper?

The lock screen is visible on a locked PC. A screensaver is shown on an idle machine, and a wallpaper is the desktop background. The lock screen is a single image, with no schedule and no slideshow.

What if several rules match one PC?

The rule that was edited most recently is applied.

Can I use different images for different zones?

Yes. In a rule, choose individual PCs, zones or both, and create a separate rule for each zone.
