Devices, Zones, and Tariffs in IZI
Devices, Zones, and Tariffs in IZI
Section titled “Devices, Zones, and Tariffs in IZI”To make a club operational in IZI, you need three things: add your hardware (devices — computers, consoles, and other seats), group the hall into zones — logical clusters with shared settings — and configure tariffs — the rules governing rates, schedules, and expiry. All of this lives under Club Settings in the CRM. You can complete the steps in any order, but the logical sequence is zones first: tariffs reference zones when setting rates, and a device can be assigned to a zone immediately on creation.
Devices
Section titled “Devices”What a device is in IZI
Section titled “What a device is in IZI”A device is any gaming seat the system manages. Two types are supported:
- PC — a computer with the IZI agent installed. The agent enables remote screen lock, power control, automatic restart after a session, and real-time status visibility.
- Custom — hardware without the agent (PlayStation, Xbox, VR station, etc.). IZI tracks sessions and billing, but power control and screen lock are unavailable.
How to add a device
Section titled “How to add a device”- In the CRM, open your club and go to the Devices section.
- Click Add Device.
- Choose a type: PC or Custom.
For PC:
- Download the IZI installer using the link in the dialog (“Download IZI Installer”).
- Install the agent on the computer.
- Click Generate Code — the code is valid for 4 hours. Enter it in the agent during installation to bind the computer to the club.
- After a successful connection, the device appears in the list with status Active.
For Custom:
- Enter the Device Name (numbers only).
- Select a Zone (optional — can be assigned later).
- Click Save.
Device settings
Section titled “Device settings”After creation, a device can be edited. Available fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Device Name | Numbers only. Shown on the cashier interface and hall map |
| Zone | Which zone the device belongs to |
| Auto-update client | Agent updates automatically when a new version is released |
| Wake-on-LAN | Remote power-on over the local network |
The device list shows: name, zone, UUID, type, and client version.
Why zones matter
Section titled “Why zones matter”A zone is a logical group of devices inside a club that share common settings. Typical breakdowns: Standard, VIP, Consoles, VR. Zones are referenced in two places:
- Tariffs set rates separately per zone. The same tariff can carry different amounts in a VIP zone versus a standard zone.
- Devices are assigned to a zone when created or edited.
How to create a zone
Section titled “How to create a zone”- In the club CRM, go to the Zones section.
- Click Add.
- Enter a Zone Name — the only required field.
- Optionally configure PC Restart After Session (see below).
- Click Save.
Zones can be reordered by drag and drop — the order affects how they appear on the cashier interface.
PC Restart After Session
Section titled “PC Restart After Session”This is the key zone setting, and it is commonly configured differently across zones.
- Enabled (default) — computers in the zone automatically restart after a session ends and before the next player’s session begins. This ensures a clean OS state for every customer.
- Disabled — no restart. Useful for training zones where keeping open applications between sessions matters.
When the feature is disabled, the zone list shows a label Auto-restart disabled next to the zone name so administrators can spot non-standard configurations at a glance.
Tariffs
Section titled “Tariffs”What a tariff contains
Section titled “What a tariff contains”A tariff in IZI is more than a rate per hour. It is a set of operational rules that define:
- When the tariff is available for activation (availability policy + schedule)
- Where it can be used (zones in the usage policy)
- How much it costs per zone (rates in the usage policy)
- When it expires (expiry conditions)
- What happens to unused time on early exit (return policy)
Creating a tariff — step by step
Section titled “Creating a tariff — step by step”- In the club CRM, go to the Tariffs section.
- Click Add.
- Fill in the core fields:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Tariff Name | Yes | Shown to cashier and customer |
| Tariff Group | No | Required for the tariff to appear in booking flows |
| Description | No | Displayed in tariff details |
| Maximum Bonus Percentage | No | Caps the share of the rate coverable with bonuses |
Expiry conditions
Section titled “Expiry conditions”The Expiry Conditions section defines when the tariff stops being valid. At least one condition is required. If multiple conditions are set, the tariff expires when any one of them is met (logical OR).
Available condition types:
| Type | Example |
|---|---|
| Time from activation | Expires 30 days after first activation |
| Time from first use | Expires 7 days after the first session |
| Total play time | Expires after 10 hours of sessions are used |
| Number of sessions | Expires after 5 uses |
| Fixed date | Valid until December 31 (exclusive) |
Availability policy
Section titled “Availability policy”The Availability Policy defines when and through which channels the tariff can be activated by a customer. Without at least one active availability policy, the tariff cannot be used.
Each policy includes:
- Schedule — the time window during which the tariff is accessible (for example, weekdays 10:00–22:00 only)
- Access channels — cashier, online, mobile app, or other channels
Multiple policies can be added if the tariff operates under different conditions at different times.
Usage and pricing policy
Section titled “Usage and pricing policy”The Usage and Pricing Policy sets activation conditions and per-zone rates.
Each policy includes:
- Start schedule — when the tariff can be activated (i.e., when a session can begin)
- Additional end schedule (optional) — lets customers finish a session under a different schedule (for example, a session started Saturday can end on Sunday)
- Rates per zone — a rate is set for each zone; 0 means free access; zones not included in the policy grant no access under this tariff
A single tariff can hold multiple usage policies — for example, a daytime plan and a night plan within the same tariff.
Return policy
Section titled “Return policy”The Remainder on Early Exit field controls what happens to unused time when a customer ends a session early:
- Keep remainder — unused time carries over to future sessions under this tariff
- Return to bonus — unused time is converted to the customer’s bonus balance proportionally
- Burn remainder — unused time is forfeited
Recommended setup sequence
Section titled “Recommended setup sequence”- Create zones — at least one, even if the club has no category split today
- Add devices — assign each to its zone
- Create tariffs — set expiry conditions, an availability policy with a schedule, and a usage policy with per-zone rates
- Open a shift — after this, the cashier can start sessions
Next steps: configure your club profile, working hours, and add staff.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a computer to IZI?
Open the Devices section in your club's CRM, click Add Device, select the PC type, generate an authorization code, and enter it in the IZI agent during installation on that computer. The code is valid for 4 hours.
Can I add a PlayStation, Xbox, or VR station to IZI?
Yes. When adding a device, select the Custom type — for hardware without the IZI agent (PlayStation, Xbox, VR, and others). The device can be assigned to a zone and tariff, but remote power control and screen lock are not available for Custom devices.
Why do I need zones in IZI?
A zone is a logical group of devices with shared settings. One zone might cover standard seats, another VIP booths. Tariffs define rates separately for each zone, which lets you apply different conditions to different areas within a single club.
What does 'PC Restart After Session' mean?
This is a zone-level setting. When enabled, computers in the zone automatically restart after a session ends and before the next player starts. When disabled, the PC stays in the state left by the previous session.
How does the availability policy work in a tariff?
The availability policy defines when and through which channels a tariff can be activated by a customer. Without at least one active availability policy, the tariff cannot be used. You can add multiple policies for different schedules.
What is the usage and pricing policy in a tariff?
The usage policy sets the start schedule (when the tariff can be activated) and rates per zone. A single tariff can have multiple usage policies for different time windows — for example, a day rate and a night rate.
How do I configure tariff expiry?
In the Expiry Conditions section, add one or more conditions: N days/hours after activation, N days/hours after first use, total play time, number of sessions, or a fixed date. The tariff expires when any one condition is met.
What happens to unused time when a session ends early?
It depends on the tariff's Return Policy setting: 'Keep remainder' carries unused time into future sessions; 'Return to bonus' converts unused time to bonus balance proportionally; 'Burn remainder' forfeits it.
What is a tariff group?
A tariff group bundles multiple tariffs for joint display and management. For a tariff to be available for booking via the mobile app or online, it must belong to a group.
Can I limit how much of a tariff cost can be covered with bonuses?
Yes. The Maximum Bonus Percentage field caps the share of the tariff rate a customer can cover with bonuses. Leave it empty for no restriction.
How do I link a tariff to specific zones and prices?
In the tariff's usage policy, select the zones you want and set a rate for each. A rate of 0 means free access. Zones not included in the policy grant no access under this tariff.
What is an additional end schedule in a tariff?
An optional field in the usage policy. It lets customers whose session is active overnight or in another period finish it under a different schedule — for example, allowing a Saturday-started session to end on Sunday.
