IZI Client — Overview

Published: · IZI Team

The IZI client (also called the IZI agent) is the software installed on each gaming PC in your club via the IZI installer. It connects the PC to your IZI account and handles session control automatically.

Note: Disk protection, reference-image management, and network-boot deployment are features of IZI Boot — a separate paid, server-side product. IZI Boot is not installed on individual PCs; it runs on a server (e.g. TrueNAS) and delivers disk images to club PCs over the network. The IZI client on each PC communicates with CRM independently of IZI Boot.

  • Identifies the device to your club’s IZI account
  • Locks and unlocks the PC when a session starts and ends
  • Enforces balance limits — ends the session automatically when the client’s balance runs out
  • Reports session data — start time, duration, device ID — to IZI in real time
  • Runs screensavers between sessions (configurable)
  • It does not monitor what clients do during sessions
  • It does not record screen or keystrokes
  • It does not affect game performance or interact with anti-cheat
RequirementMinimum
OSWindows 10 64-bit or Windows 11
RAM4 GB (8 GB recommended for gaming)
Storage200 MB for the IZI client itself
NetworkStable internet connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)
PermissionsLocal administrator rights for installation
  1. Download the IZI installer from CRM: Settings → Devices → Download IZI Installer
  2. Run the installer on the gaming PC with administrator rights
  3. Enter the club code when prompted (found in CRM → Settings → Devices → Club Code)
  4. The IZI client installs as a Windows service and starts automatically on boot

After installation the PC appears in CRM → Settings → Devices within 1–2 minutes.

The IZI client is configured to start automatically with Windows. If the service crashes (rare), it restarts itself within 30 seconds.

In the rare case of complete failure, the PC remains locked in the screensaver state — clients cannot use it until the service recovers or the administrator manually unlocks from the CRM.

Between sessions, the IZI client displays a screensaver on the PC screen. You can configure:

  • Custom images or video for the screensaver
  • Club branding, promotions, tariff information

Configure in: Settings → Devices → Screensaver

The IZI client updates automatically in the background — no action needed from the club. Updates apply during the screensaver state (between sessions), never during an active session.

Frequently asked questions

What operating systems does the IZI client support?

The IZI client runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). It does not support Linux or macOS.

Does the IZI client slow down games?

The IZI client runs as a lightweight background service. It uses minimal CPU and RAM (under 50MB). It does not inject into games and does not interact with anti-cheat systems.

What happens if the internet goes down during a session?

The IZI client caches the session state locally. The session continues for up to 15 minutes without a connection. If the connection is not restored, the session ends and the unused time is credited back to the client's balance.
