Session End Notification for Administrators

Session End Notification for Administrators

Section titled “Session End Notification for Administrators”

When a session ends automatically — because the paid time ran out, the balance hit zero on a pay-per-minute tariff, or the club closed on schedule — the CRM shows a green pop-up banner in the top-right corner: “Session on PC {name} in Zone {name} has ended”. The banner stays for 9 seconds and is accompanied by a short audio alert.

This is the only instant notification channel for an event the admin did not initiate. Without it, a session silently disappears from the hall map, and if staff were not watching the screen they would miss the moment a PC becomes free.

A green banner appears in the top-right corner of the screen, over any section of the CRM. Text: “Session on PC {PC name} in Zone {zone name} has ended”.

The banner closes automatically after 9 seconds or immediately when you click the × on the right.

At the same moment the banner appears, a short tone plays — the same one used when a new bar order comes in. It is distinct from browser system notifications: one clean beep, 0.5 seconds long.

When the notification fires and when it does not

Section titled “When the notification fires and when it does not”

The notification fires only when the system itself ends the session:

  • the timer counted down all purchased time,
  • the player’s balance reached zero on a pay-per-minute tariff,
  • the club closed on schedule and sessions ended automatically.

The notification does not appear when an admin manually ends a session using the End Session button in the PC card — the action was already intentional, so duplicating the signal is unnecessary.

Deduplication: one notification per session

Section titled “Deduplication: one notification per session”

The system tracks which sessions have already triggered a notification. If the same session’s status arrives again — for example, due to a reconnect or an event being re-delivered — a second alert will not appear. The tracking resets when you switch clubs in the interface or reload the page.

The alert is informational — it does not require a mandatory action. Typical responses during a shift:

  1. Glance at the map in the Hall — the PC already shows as green (free).
  2. If a player is waiting in the queue, start a new session on the freed PC.
  3. If the session ended unexpectedly early and the player is still at the PC — check the balance in the PC card and, if needed, extend the session.

If the notification does not match what you see on the map, or the PC is still showing as occupied, see Session issues.

Which PC is shown for multi-device sessions

Section titled “Which PC is shown for multi-device sessions”

If a player moved between PCs during a single session, the notification shows the name of the last device — the one where the time actually ran out. The zone shown is the zone of that device.

The PC name and zone name in the notification text come from the club’s device configuration. To change them, go to Club zones in the settings.

Descriptive names (“VIP-1”, “Tournament Zone”) make the alert immediately useful: the admin knows at a glance which part of the hall has a free spot without having to get up.

Frequently asked questions

Why didn't the notification appear even though the session ended?

The notification does not show when an admin manually closes a session using the End Session button — in that case the signal is unnecessary since the admin already knows. The notification also will not reappear for the same session within the same browser tab.

What do 'PC' and 'Zone' mean in the notification text?

PC is the device name from the club settings. Zone is the name of the zone the PC belongs to. Both values come from the configuration set when devices and zones were set up.

Can the notification sound be disabled?

There is no sound-off setting in the CRM. The sound plays through the browser's Web Audio API; if the browser has blocked autoplay audio (no user interaction with the tab), the sound will not play — but the notification will still appear.

Does the notification appear on all open tabs at once?

No, only on the browser tab where the club's Hall is open. If the admin has the Hall open in two tabs, the notification appears in each of them.
