Setting Up Club Zones in IZI CRM

Published: · Updated: (12 days ago)· IZI Team

Zones divide your hall into named logical sections — VIP, Pro, Standard, Consoles, or anything that fits your layout — and let IZI manage those sections as a unit: different tariff prices per section, a shared auto-restart policy, and a clear occupancy view by area. Every device belongs to exactly one zone. When a cashier starts a session, IZI automatically looks up the price configured for that device’s zone, so the cashier never has to choose a price manually. Without zones every device looks identical to the system, per-section pricing is impossible, and restart settings must be configured on each PC individually. You manage zones under Club → Zones in IZI CRM. Access is controlled through roles and permissions: ZONE_CREATE, ZONE_EDIT, ZONE_DELETE.

The main value of zones is running the same tariff at different prices depending on where the device sits in the hall. Inside tariff settings, each usage policy stores a price for every zone. When a session starts, IZI reads the zone of the chosen device and applies the matching price — no manual override needed.

A typical hall breakdown:

ZoneEquipmentPricing logic
VIPTop-spec PCs, private booths20–40 % above base price
ProMid-range machines, main floorBase tariff price
StandardBudget seats, kids’ areaAt or below base price
ConsolesPlayStation, XboxSeparate price list, independent of PC tariffs

The split above is illustrative; the actual zones and price ratios depend entirely on your club’s business model.

The PC restart after session toggle is set at the zone level, not per device. When enabled, every PC in the zone restarts automatically after a session ends and again before the next player’s session starts, ensuring a clean system state for each guest.

Turn this off for zones with consoles (a restart disrupts the experience), demo stations, or devices that take a long time to initialize their software. When you change the toggle, IZI immediately pushes the new configuration to every device in the zone — you do not need to touch each machine individually.

  1. Open Club → Zones.
  2. Click Add in the top-right corner of the page.
  3. In the dialog that opens, fill in the Zone Name field (required, maximum 50 characters).
  4. Set the PC restart after session toggle — it is enabled by default.
  5. Click Save.

The new zone appears in the list immediately and is ready for device assignment and tariff pricing.

Zone names are visible to cashiers in the hall list and in device cards. Use clear labels: “VIP”, “Hall 1 — Standard”, “PlayStation Consoles”, “Kids Zone”. You can mix device types in one zone if they share the same pricing logic — the split is driven by your business model, not by technical constraints.

  1. In Club → Zones, click the zone row or its edit icon.
  2. Update the Zone Name and/or the PC restart after session toggle.
  3. Click Save.

When you change the auto-restart toggle, IZI automatically sends the updated configuration to all devices in the zone — no additional steps required.

Drag any zone row by its drag handle to reorder the list. The order is saved automatically and is reflected in the cashier’s interface when selecting a device.

  1. Click the delete icon in the zone’s row.
  2. Confirm the action in the dialog — this cannot be undone.

Deleting a zone does not delete its devices; they simply become unassigned. After deletion, go to Devices and assign those devices to another zone. Devices without a zone cannot have tariffs started on them if those tariffs require a zone-based price.

Zones and tariffs are linked through usage policies: each schedule in a tariff holds a list of zones with a price for each. A tariff is only available on a given device if a price exists for that device’s zone.

Practical implications:

  • Create a “VIP-only” tariff by setting prices only for the VIP zone — it will not appear on Standard or Pro devices.
  • Create a single tariff with different prices per zone by adding all zones with separate values.
  • Devices that belong to no zone cannot have zone-priced tariffs started on them.

Price-per-zone configuration is part of Tariffs → Create a tariff.

Each row in the zone list shows a device count. Click Show all on a zone row to expand the list of computers and consoles assigned to it. Click Hide to collapse it again. To reassign devices, go to Devices — device-to-zone assignment is managed there, not in the Zones section.

A search bar labeled Search zones… sits above the zone list. It matches on substrings of zone names (minimum 2 characters). Useful when a club has many zones and you need to locate one quickly.

Permissions are assigned in Roles and Access. A user without ZONE_CREATE will not see the Add button; without ZONE_DELETE, the delete icon is hidden.

Frequently asked questions

What is a zone in IZI CRM?

A zone is a named group of devices inside a club. Every computer or console belongs to exactly one zone. Zones let you set different tariff prices for different sections of the hall and manage device settings — such as auto-restart — at the group level.

How many zones can one club have?

There is no limit. Create as many zones as your hall layout requires.

How do I assign a device to a zone?

Zones are assigned inside each device's settings under the Devices section. The Zones list itself shows how many devices belong to each zone and lets you expand the list to see them.

Can I rename a zone?

Yes — open the zone, click the edit icon, and update the Zone Name field. The maximum length is 50 characters.

What happens to devices when a zone is deleted?

Devices are not deleted along with the zone — they simply become unassigned. After deleting a zone, go to the Devices section and assign those devices to another zone; otherwise tariffs that require a zone price will not be available on them.

What does the 'PC restart after session' toggle do?

When enabled, every PC in the zone restarts automatically after a session ends and before the next player starts. When disabled, no restart occurs at either point. This is useful for console zones or devices running software where a restart would be disruptive.

How do I reorder zones in the list?

Drag a zone row by its drag handle — the order saves automatically and is reflected in the cashier's device-selection view.

Does a device's zone affect which tariffs can be started on it?

Yes. Tariff policies define prices per zone. A tariff is only available on devices belonging to zones for which a price has been set in that tariff.

What permissions are needed to manage zones?

Creating a zone requires ZONE_CREATE, editing requires ZONE_EDIT, and deleting requires ZONE_DELETE. Permissions are configured in the Roles and Access section.

Can VIP and Standard zones have different prices for the same tariff?

Yes. Inside the tariff settings, each usage policy specifies a price per zone. Devices in the VIP zone charge the VIP price and Standard devices charge the Standard price — IZI applies the correct price automatically when a session starts.
