IZI System Requirements: PC, Network, OS
This page is a configuration reference. It contains minimum and recommended parameters for each type of club equipment: gaming PCs, cash register stations, network infrastructure, and peripherals. Use these tables when planning purchases or before connecting existing hardware to IZI.
Gaming PCs (Hall Workstations)
Section titled “Gaming PCs (Hall Workstations)”Gaming PC requirements are determined not so much by the IZI client (it consumes minimal resources) as by the games run in the hall. The IZI client operates correctly on any hardware meeting the minimum parameters below.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit (build 1903+) | Windows 11 64-bit |
| CPU | 4-core, 3.0 GHz+ | 6–8 core, 3.5 GHz+ |
| RAM | 16 GB DDR4 | 32 GB DDR4/DDR5 |
| GPU | 4 GB VRAM (GTX 1060 / RX 580 level) | 8–12 GB VRAM (RTX 3060 / RX 6700 level) |
| Storage | SSD 256 GB (for OS and base games) | NVMe SSD 512 GB + separate HDD for games |
| Network | Wired Ethernet 100 Mbps | Gigabit Ethernet |
| BIOS/UEFI | PXE network boot support | PXE + Wake-on-LAN configured |
On storage. IZI Boot uses a disk image for PC recovery. The faster the drive — the faster the image deploys. NVMe SSD cuts recovery time roughly in half compared to a SATA SSD.
On PXE. Network boot (PXE) is a technology where a PC boots not from the local drive but over the network. IZI Boot uses it to deploy images without USB drives. Activated in BIOS/UEFI in the Boot Options section. More details — IZI Boot: How Disk Protection and Images Work.
Cash Register and Administrative Station
Section titled “Cash Register and Administrative Station”The IZI CRM opens in a browser — a specialized “cash register” computer is not needed. Any PC or laptop used by the administrator at the counter will work.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 / macOS 12 / any Linux with current browser | Windows 10/11 |
| CPU | 2-core from 2 GHz | 4-core from 2.5 GHz |
| RAM | 4 GB | 8 GB |
| Browser | Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (last 2 versions) | Google Chrome |
| Display | 15 inch, Full HD (1920×1080) | 22–24 inch, Full HD |
| Network | Ethernet or stable Wi-Fi | Ethernet |
| Printer | ESC/POS receipt printer (USB or network) | — |
If you plan to use a cash drawer and barcode scanner — they connect to the cash register station. Details in Connecting a Cash Drawer and Connecting a Barcode Scanner.
Network Infrastructure
Section titled “Network Infrastructure”| Parameter | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Internet channel | N × 10 Mbps (N = number of gaming PCs) | N × 10 Mbps × 1.5 (with buffer) |
| PC connection type | Ethernet 100 Mbps | Gigabit Ethernet |
| Switch | Unmanaged Gigabit | Managed with VLAN support |
| Router | DHCP reservation by MAC | VLAN + QoS support |
| Hall PC addressing | Static IPs or DHCP reservation | DHCP reservation by MAC |
| NAS (for IZI Boot images) | Optional (speeds up recovery) | Recommended for 10+ PCs, Gigabit Ethernet |
| Guest network | Separate SSID with client isolation | Separate VLAN with bandwidth limit |
Bandwidth table by club size:
| Club Size | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 10 PCs | 100 Mbps | 150 Mbps |
| 11–25 PCs | 150–250 Mbps | 250–400 Mbps |
| 26–50 PCs | 300–500 Mbps | 500–800 Mbps |
| Over 50 PCs | 500 Mbps+ | 1 Gbps+ |

Supported Operating Systems
Section titled “Supported Operating Systems”The IZI client (installed on every hall PC) supports:
| System | Support |
|---|---|
| Windows 11 64-bit | Full |
| Windows 10 64-bit (build 1903 and above) | Full |
| Windows 10 32-bit | Not supported |
| Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 | Not supported |
| macOS, Linux | Not supported for the agent |
The CRM (web interface) works in any modern browser regardless of the cash register station’s OS.
Peripherals
Section titled “Peripherals”Peripherals connect to IZI through the cash register station. IZI supports standard protocols — no specialized drivers or contracted suppliers required.
| Device | Interface | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Receipt printer | USB or Ethernet | ESC/POS support — one of the most widely used command standards for receipt printers |
| Cash drawer | RJ11 through printer or USB | Open command via printer or directly |
| Barcode scanner | USB HID (keyboard emulation) | HID standard — no drivers needed |
| Monitor (register) | HDMI / DisplayPort / VGA | Any |
| Customer display (second screen) | HDMI / DisplayPort | Optional |
More on each peripheral type:
IZI Client Version Compatibility
Section titled “IZI Client Version Compatibility”The IZI client version is visible in the Devices CRM section in the “Version” column. The agent updates automatically with Auto-update client enabled — no manual update required. If updates are disabled for any reason, keeping the agent version current is recommended: an outdated agent may not support new commands from the CRM.

Section titled “See Also”Frequently asked questions
Does IZI work on Windows 7 or Windows 8?
No. The IZI client supports only Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). Windows 7/8 are not officially supported — the agent may install but stable operation is not guaranteed.
What is the minimum RAM for a gaming PC?
16 GB is the minimum for most modern games. With 8 GB, operation is possible for non-demanding games, but you'll be limited in title selection and will encounter issues with AAA games.
Can Wi-Fi be used instead of cable for hall PCs?
Not advisable. Wi-Fi is unstable with many client devices on one access point — can cause packet loss and elevated latency. For gaming PCs — wired connection only. Wi-Fi is acceptable for the guest zone.
Does any PC work as a cash register station?
Practically yes. The CRM opens in a browser; requirements are minimal: any PC with 4 GB RAM, a processor from 2 GHz, and a current Chrome/Edge browser. A dedicated high-performance computer is not needed.
Is a server inside the club needed for IZI to work?
No. IZI works through the cloud — no dedicated physical server is required. Only a NAS (network-attached storage) is needed for storing reference disk images if you want fast PC recovery over the local network.
Does IZI support macOS or Linux?
The CRM (web interface) opens in any browser. The IZI client — Windows 10/11 only. Hall gaming PCs operate only on Windows.
What is the minimum internet connection for a 10-PC club?
Minimum 100 Mbps, recommended 150–200 Mbps with buffer for peak loads (simultaneous game updates). Formula: N × 10 Mbps × 1.5 (buffer).
