Visit Frequency in a Gaming Club

Published: · IZI Team

Visit frequency — the average number of times an active player visits the club per month. One of two key revenue multipliers alongside average spend per visit.

The same client base with the same average spend produces very different revenue depending on how often people come. A player visiting once a week brings 4× more than a player visiting once a month at identical spend per visit.

Visit frequency = sessions per player — the same metric, different framing.

Connection to ARPU:

ARPU = Visit frequency × AOV (average spend per visit)

Any change in ARPU can be decomposed into frequency change and spend change. Knowing which one is driving it determines what to fix.

Analytics section — alongside active player count and ARPU. Useful to view by segment (multipass holders show notably higher frequency), tariff, and time period.

Monthly visitsInterpretation
1–2Club hasn’t become a regular destination
2–4Normal range. Some of the base visits weekly
4–6Good frequency. Habit has formed
Over 6Concentration in active core

The main lever: create a prepaid asset on the player’s account. While a player has paid hours or bonus balance, they have a reason to return. Both multipass and top-up bonus work through this principle.

  • Sessions Per Player — same metric, technical IZI term
  • ARPU — revenue per player = frequency × average spend
  • Multipass — package creating regular visit incentive
  • D30 Retention — related: newcomer return in first month
  • LTV — lifetime value grows with frequency
