Finance Overview

Published: · Updated: (12 days ago)· IZI Team

IZI tracks every revenue operation in your club from the first paid session to the final shift Z-report. Every amount is tied to a specific shift, staff member, and payment method — giving owners and managers a clean audit trail without manual bookkeeping.

As an owner, the finance section answers “how much did the club earn and how did it leave the register?” As an admin, it answers “what do I hand over at shift close and what does the Z-report say?”

What makes up the financial picture in IZI

Section titled “What makes up the financial picture in IZI”

Cash shift flow — everything that moves through the register in one working shift: cash, card, and mobile-app payments. See cash shift flow.

Z-report — the shift closing summary: revenue by category (sessions, bar, combos), payment methods, bonuses issued and spent. Generated automatically when the shift is closed. See shift Z-report.

Cash register integration — if your club uses a fiscal register, IZI sends receipts to the tax operator automatically on every payment. See cash register integration.

Fiscal receipts (Russia) — compliance with Russian fiscal law (54-FZ), fiscal storage setup, and operator data transmission. See fiscal receipts Russia.

VAT and taxes — how IZI handles different tax regimes: no VAT, VAT at standard rate, patent, or simplified taxation. See VAT and tax handling.

Profit/loss by period — pull a revenue summary for a week, month, or custom range and assemble a P&L for the club. See profit/loss by period.

Expenses tracking — record non-revenue cash outflows alongside IZI data. See expenses tracking.

IZI records revenue on the accrual basis: revenue is recognised the moment a service is rendered, not when payment clears. You can see the accrual revenue block in the shift dashboard under “Accrual Revenue.”

This has three practical implications:

  • Bonus-paid sessions count as revenue (paid with stored value, not cash)
  • Refunds reduce revenue in the period the refund is made, not the original purchase period
  • Register cash balance does not equal shift revenue — the difference is bonus redemptions and customer credit

IZI has one built-in staff role — Administrator — plus custom roles you create yourself. To give someone cashier- or manager-level access to finance reports, create a custom role with the appropriate name and select the exact permissions they need. See staff roles for how to set this up.

Frequently asked questions

Is the finance module required?

Core financial tracking (shift reports, transaction log) is part of the base platform. Advanced features like fiscal receipt integration and expense categories are optional modules.

Does IZI connect to external accounting software?

IZI does not have native integrations with accounting software (1C, QuickBooks, etc.). Export transaction CSVs for manual import into your accounting system.

Does IZI track revenue when it is earned or when cash is received?

IZI uses accrual accounting: revenue is recorded the moment a service is delivered — when a session starts or a product is issued — not when cash lands in the register. Bonus-paid sessions count as revenue too.

Where do I see how much cash the admin collected during a shift?

Open the shift in Shift History. The Payment Methods block shows cash, card, and app totals. The cash figure is what the admin is expected to hand over at shift close.

Is the IZI Z-report the same as the fiscal register Z-report?

No. The IZI Z-report is the shift summary across all system transactions. The fiscal register Z-report is a separate document from the hardware register. Both should reconcile, but they are generated independently.

Can I track club expenses in IZI?

IZI records all revenue-generating operations (sessions, bar, top-ups). Overhead expenses — rent, payroll, supplier invoices — are entered separately. For a full P&L, export IZI data and combine it with your expense records in a spreadsheet or accounting tool.
