Club Tax Settings in IZI CRM
Tax settings determine how IZI calculates and displays taxes on receipts, reports and fiscal documents. Correct configuration is important for compliance with your country’s requirements — consult your accountant or tax adviser for specific rates and regimes.
Where to open: left panel → Settings → Taxes
Tax Regimes
Section titled “Tax Regimes”IZI supports several tax processing modes. Select the one that matches your business’s tax structure.
Main options:
- Tax inclusive — the rate or product price already includes tax. Tax is extracted from the amount on the receipt. Used in most jurisdictions where consumer prices are quoted with tax included.
- Tax exclusive — tax is added on top of the price. Total = price + tax. Applied where law or business practice shows tax separately.
- No tax — tax is not applied. Used for tax regimes where gaming services or total turnover is VAT/equivalent exempt.
Mode selection affects all calculations in the system. Confirm with your accountant which mode is correct for your ownership type and activity.
Tax Rates
Section titled “Tax Rates”Set the standard rate for your primary activity type. The rate is entered as a percentage (e.g. 20 for 20% VAT, 5 for 5% VAT).
If different rates apply to different product and service categories in your country — create multiple rates:
| Category | Example rate |
|---|---|
| Gaming time (rates) | Standard rate per your legislation |
| Food and drinks (bar) | May differ from service rate |
| Ancillary goods | Per goods rate in your jurisdiction |
IZI lets you tie each tax rate to a product category. This is done in the settings of each specific rate or product item.
Categories and Tax Exemption
Section titled “Categories and Tax Exemption”For categories exempt from tax, set a 0% rate or mark the category as Tax Exempt. Example situations:
- Club operates under a simplified tax regime without VAT.
- Specific services (e.g. educational events) are legally exempt.
- Club is in a special economic zone with tax benefits.
Only set exemption based on a documented status — confirmed by your accountant.
Fiscal Details
Section titled “Fiscal Details”If the club uses a POS, additional details are specified in tax settings or the POS integration section:
- Tax ID / TRN (Tax Registration Number) — taxpayer identifier printed on receipts.
- Organisation name for fiscal documents.
- Outlet address (may match the club profile address).
Receipt detail requirements vary by country. Check with your country’s tax authority or POS hardware provider.
Pre-Launch Check
Section titled “Pre-Launch Check”Before the first shift with real clients:
- Open tax settings and verify the regime (inclusive / exclusive / no tax) is correct.
- Check rates for each product and service category.
- If a POS is connected — create a test receipt and verify the tax amounts match expectations.
- Verify the Tax ID / TRN displays correctly on the receipt.
Tax setting errors are harder to fix retroactively — they affect already-issued fiscal documents.
Changing a Rate After Launch
Section titled “Changing a Rate After Launch”If a tax rate changes (e.g. the government raises or lowers VAT):
- Open tax settings and change the rate value.
- The change applies to new transactions from the save point.
- Historical transactions retain the rates that were in effect when they were created.
No need to recreate rates and products — they are tied to the tax category, not the numeric rate value.

Frequently asked questions
Where are tax settings in IZI CRM?
Left panel → Settings → Taxes tab. Rate, tax regime and categories with separate rates or exemptions are all set there.
Do you need to configure taxes if the club operates without a POS?
If you don't use a fiscal printer, tax settings don't affect operations. But correct rates are needed for proper reports and if you connect a POS in the future.
Can different rates be set for different categories: gaming time, food, drinks?
Yes. IZI supports multiple tax rates tied to product categories. Gaming rates, bar items and ancillary services can have different rates.
What is 'tax exemption' and when do you use it?
Exemption means no tax is charged for that category (0% rate or the category is marked tax-exempt). Applied when your tax regime or service type qualifies for exemption — verify with your accountant.
Are tax settings the same for all network clubs or configured separately?
Configured separately for each club. Clubs in different countries or regions may have different rates and regimes.
If the VAT rate changes, do you need to recreate all rates?
No. Just update the rate in tax settings. Rates are tied to the tax category, not a specific numeric rate, so the change applies automatically to new transactions.
Does IZI work with UAE VAT (5%)?
Yes. Set the 5% rate for relevant categories. UAE VAT specifics (Tax Registration Number on receipt, Tax Invoice format) are configured in the POS connection and fiscal details section.
How do you verify taxes are correctly configured before launch?
Create a test transaction in the POS test mode and check the receipt: is the rate shown, is the tax amount correct, is the total with tax right.
