Migrating from Langame to IZI: Step-by-Step Guide
Migrating from Langame to IZI: Step-by-Step Guide
Section titled “Migrating from Langame to IZI: Step-by-Step Guide”Switching operational systems is an organizational project, not just a technical one. A well-planned migration doesn’t stop the club and doesn’t lose data. Here’s the practical plan.
What Gets Migrated
Section titled “What Gets Migrated”| Data | How |
|---|---|
| Client database (phones, names) | CSV export from Langame → import into IZI |
| Client balances | Snapshot on switchover date |
| Tariff structure | Manually recreated in IZI |
| Transaction history | Archive file for reporting (where available) |
| Bar / warehouse settings | Manually configured in IZI |
Step 1. Prepare the Data
Section titled “Step 1. Prepare the Data”Request a client database export from Langame in CSV or Excel. Minimum required fields:
- Phone number
- Client name
- Current balance
Clean the data for duplicate phone numbers and formatting issues before importing.
Step 2. Configure IZI Before Switchover
Section titled “Step 2. Configure IZI Before Switchover”Set up IZI in parallel while the club still runs on Langame:
- Tariffs (time-based, zone-based, day/night pricing)
- Client groups (Bronze/Silver/Gold or your own schema)
- Automation rules (bonus credits per session, top-up cashback)
- Bar menu and stock items
This can be done while Langame is still active — IZI is configured ahead of go-live.
Step 3. Test Import
Section titled “Step 3. Test Import”Import a small subset of the database (50–100 records). Verify:
- Phone numbers imported correctly
- Balances match Langame data
- No duplicates
Step 4. Switchover Day
Section titled “Step 4. Switchover Day”Choose a low-traffic day. On that day:
- Take the final client database snapshot from Langame
- Import into IZI
- Install the IZI client (IZI agent) on hall PCs via the IZI installer
- Switch the POS to IZI
- Run a few test sessions end-to-end
Step 5. Staff Training
Section titled “Step 5. Staff Training”Key workflows to practice:
- Starting a session on a PC
- Accepting payment and topping up balance
- Looking up a client and applying a bonus manually
- Taking a bar order
- Opening and closing a shift
IZI provides onboarding materials and support during the transition.
Step 6. Parallel Operation (Optional)
Section titled “Step 6. Parallel Operation (Optional)”For larger clubs or networks, run Langame as a backup log for the first 1–2 weeks. Once the team is confident on IZI, deactivate Langame.
Common Questions
Section titled “Common Questions”What to tell clients? Communicate in advance: “We’re moving to a new system. Your balance will transfer. Download the IZI player app if you haven’t already.”
What about clients without a phone number? One-time guests without a phone number work through the guest mode in IZI — no change to their experience.
Do we need to replace any hardware? Generally no. IZI runs on existing club hardware.
