Migrating from Langame to IZI: Step-by-Step Guide

Section titled “Migrating from Langame to IZI: Step-by-Step Guide”

Switching operational systems is an organizational project, not just a technical one. A well-planned migration doesn’t stop the club and doesn’t lose data. Here’s the practical plan.

DataHow
Client database (phones, names)CSV export from Langame → import into IZI
Client balancesSnapshot on switchover date
Tariff structureManually recreated in IZI
Transaction historyArchive file for reporting (where available)
Bar / warehouse settingsManually configured in IZI

Request a client database export from Langame in CSV or Excel. Minimum required fields:

  • Phone number
  • Client name
  • Current balance

Clean the data for duplicate phone numbers and formatting issues before importing.

Set up IZI in parallel while the club still runs on Langame:

  • Tariffs (time-based, zone-based, day/night pricing)
  • Client groups (Bronze/Silver/Gold or your own schema)
  • Automation rules (bonus credits per session, top-up cashback)
  • Bar menu and stock items

This can be done while Langame is still active — IZI is configured ahead of go-live.

Import a small subset of the database (50–100 records). Verify:

  • Phone numbers imported correctly
  • Balances match Langame data
  • No duplicates

Choose a low-traffic day. On that day:

  1. Take the final client database snapshot from Langame
  2. Import into IZI
  3. Install the IZI client (IZI agent) on hall PCs via the IZI installer
  4. Switch the POS to IZI
  5. Run a few test sessions end-to-end

Key workflows to practice:

  • Starting a session on a PC
  • Accepting payment and topping up balance
  • Looking up a client and applying a bonus manually
  • Taking a bar order
  • Opening and closing a shift

IZI provides onboarding materials and support during the transition.

For larger clubs or networks, run Langame as a backup log for the first 1–2 weeks. Once the team is confident on IZI, deactivate Langame.

What to tell clients? Communicate in advance: “We’re moving to a new system. Your balance will transfer. Download the IZI player app if you haven’t already.”

What about clients without a phone number? One-time guests without a phone number work through the guest mode in IZI — no change to their experience.

Do we need to replace any hardware? Generally no. IZI runs on existing club hardware.

Frequently asked questions

How long does migrating from Langame to IZI take?

Typically 3 to 10 business days. Depends on client database size, number of tariffs and team readiness. Multi-venue networks may take 2–3 weeks.

Will the club keep operating during migration?

Yes. Migration is planned to avoid downtime. The switchover to IZI is usually done during off-hours or a slow day.

Will client balances transfer?

Do we need to reinstall anything on the hall PCs?

The IZI client (IZI agent) is installed on each hall PC via the IZI installer. This takes a few hours and is usually scheduled during planned PC maintenance.

What about clients who have active balance in Langame?

Before the switchover, take a snapshot of all balances and migrate them to IZI. Notify clients in advance through Langame notifications or at the front desk.
