Starting a Session with Bonus Balance in IZI

Section titled “Starting a Session with Bonus Balance in IZI”

Paying for a session with bonus balance is a standard operation in IZI. The mechanics are the same as paying from the gaming balance, but the system additionally checks the maximum bonus share restriction for the selected tariff.

Each client in IZI has two balances:

  • Gaming balance — real money deposited at the desk
  • Bonus balance — virtual credits awarded for top-ups, sessions, and promotions

More on the earning mechanics: IZI Bonus Engine.

Each tariff has a maximum bonus payment percentage configured. For example, if the tariff allows 30% — a client with 200 bonus balance and a tariff cost of 100 will spend 30 bonuses, and the remaining 70 will be deducted from the gaming balance.

In the side menu, select Hall. Find a free PC (green card) and click on it.

The session start form appears in the side panel.

Enter the phone number or name. The system will show:

  • Gaming balance
  • Bonus balance
  • Recent session history

Confirm the client has bonus balance to pay with.

From the available tariffs list, select the appropriate one. Next to the price, the system will show how many bonuses can be applied for this tariff.

5. Select Payment Method — “Bonus Balance”

Section titled “5. Select Payment Method — “Bonus Balance””

In the payment section, select Bonus Balance (or confirm that bonus deduction is included in the payment). The system automatically calculates:

  • How many bonuses will be deducted (up to the permitted maximum for the tariff)
  • How much must be paid additionally in real funds (if there is a difference)

Click Start. Bonuses and real funds are deducted simultaneously, the PC unlocks.

The system deducts all available bonuses, and the remainder is charged to the gaming balance. For example: tariff costs 100, 30% bonus permitted = 30. Client has 15 bonuses. System deducts 15 bonuses, 85 from gaming balance.

The system shows bonus balance as 0, payment proceeds entirely from the gaming balance via the standard flow.

The system shows a low-balance warning. Option 1 — top up the gaming balance right now. Option 2 — select a cheaper tariff. Option 3 — accept the difference in cash via the register.

All bonus balance transactions are recorded:

  • Client history — Transactions tab → type “Bonus Deduction”
  • Shift X-Report — total bonus deductions for the shift as a separate line
  • Bonus AnalyticsBonuses → Analytics — summary of all bonus credits and deductions for the period

This allows tracking actual cash revenue (excluding bonus components) and the cashflow impact of the loyalty program.

Starting a session blindly without checking the balance. Always check the client’s bonus and gaming balance before confirming — this avoids situations where the session fails to start due to insufficient funds.

Confusing bonus and gaming balance. The client says “I have money.” Clarify — real funds or bonuses. They are different: bonuses can only cover part of the tariff.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between bonus balance and gaming balance?

Gaming (real) balance — money the client deposited at the desk. Bonus balance — virtual credits awarded by the system for top-ups, visits, or promotions. Bonuses can only be spent up to the permitted percentage of the tariff cost.

Can a session be paid entirely with bonuses?

Depends on tariff settings. The maximum bonus payment percentage is set per tariff. If the tariff allows 100% — yes. If limited to 30% — the remaining 70% must be covered by real funds.

What if there aren't enough bonuses for the full tariff?

The system deducts available bonuses up to the permitted percentage, and the remainder is charged from the gaming balance. The administrator sees the final breakdown before confirming.

Do bonuses expire when a session is started?

No. Bonuses are deducted at the time of tariff payment — when the session starts. If a session ends early, the bonus refund policy depends on the tariff settings.

Is bonus-paid revenue visible in reports?

Yes. In the shift X-report and transaction analytics, the payment breakdown is visible: real funds vs bonus balance. This allows tracking actual cash revenue separately from bonus deductions.
