Tariff Schedules in IZI

Published: · IZI Team

Tariff schedules automate price changes throughout the day and week — no manual switching needed. Gaming clubs typically run multiple price tiers: lower rates during off-peak daytime hours, higher rates in the evening, and a different structure for weekends. In IZI this is handled through schedules attached to tariffs.

Each tariff has a Start schedule — a named schedule that defines which days and hours the tariff is available. Outside that window, the tariff doesn’t appear at the cashier or in the mobile app.

A schedule can cover:

  • Specific hours on all days (e.g. 09:00–17:00 every day)
  • Specific days only (e.g. Monday–Friday)
  • Combinations (e.g. weekdays 09:00–17:00, weekends 10:00–14:00)

Schedules are created in Settings → Schedules and then attached to tariffs.

TariffTime windowTypical use
DaytimeMon–Fri 09:00–17:00Off-peak rate, students, regulars
Evening / PeakDaily 17:00–23:00Standard evening rate
NightDaily 23:00–07:00Night owl rate, often a flat package
WeekendSat–Sun all dayWeekend premium or bundle
AlwaysNo restrictionDefault / universal fallback

You can have as many tariffs as needed — there’s no limit. Keep the grid readable for staff: too many tariffs with overlapping windows creates cashier confusion.

Settings → Tariffs → select tariff → Schedules → Add Schedule

Define:

  • Days of week — which days this schedule applies
  • Start time / End time — the active window
  • Tariff — which tariff becomes active during this window

Example setup for a two-rate club:

DaysHoursTariff
Mon–Fri00:00–17:00Day Rate (80/hr)
Mon–Fri17:00–00:00Standard (120/hr)
Sat–Sun00:00–24:00Weekend (130/hr)

Setting Up a Time-Restricted Tariff Step by Step

Section titled “Setting Up a Time-Restricted Tariff Step by Step”
  1. Go to Settings → Schedules and create the schedule if it doesn’t exist.

    • Name it clearly: “Weekdays daytime”, “Night 23–07”, “Weekend”.
    • Set the days and hour range.
    • Save.
  2. Go to Tariffs → [tariff name] (or create a new tariff).

  3. In the Schedule block, set Start schedule to the schedule you just created.

  4. Optionally set an Extra finish window — the time buffer after the schedule window during which active sessions can continue. For a night tariff ending at 07:00, an extra finish of 08:00 means players already in session can play until 08:00.

  5. Save. The tariff is now only available at the cashier during the defined window.

If multiple schedules overlap for the same zone, IZI uses the most specific one (shorter time window takes priority). Avoid overlaps when possible — test the schedule in preview mode before activating.

The most common edge case: a night tariff ends at 07:00 but some players are still in sessions. Without an extra finish window, the schedule closing at 07:00 only affects new sales — active sessions continue. Set an explicit extra finish (e.g. 08:00) so staff know exactly when overnight sessions wrap up.

To set pricing for a specific date (not recurring):

Settings → Tariffs → Schedules → Add Holiday Schedule → pick date → assign tariff

Holiday schedules override the regular weekly schedule on that date.

Per-Zone Pricing Within the Same Time Slot

Section titled “Per-Zone Pricing Within the Same Time Slot”

A single tariff can have different prices per zone. Combine time-based scheduling with per-zone pricing to run: Daytime Standard = one price, Daytime VIP = higher price — with a single tariff, one schedule, two zone prices.

Settings → Tariffs → select zone → Schedule Preview shows a week view of which tariff is active at each hour.

Frequently asked questions

Can IZI switch tariffs automatically at a specific time?

Yes. Create a tariff schedule that defines which tariff is active during which hours and days. IZI switches automatically — no manual intervention needed.

What happens to an active session when the tariff schedule switches?

Active sessions are not affected by a tariff switch. A session started at the daytime rate continues at that rate until it ends, even if the schedule has switched to the night rate.

Can I set different schedules for weekdays and weekends?

Yes. Tariff schedules support per-day-of-week configuration. You can have different rates for Monday–Friday vs. Saturday–Sunday.

Do I need a separate tariff for each time slot?

Not necessarily. You can use one tariff with a schedule that limits when it's available for sale. But many clubs find it cleaner to have distinct tariffs (Daytime, Night, Weekend) rather than one tariff with a complex schedule.

What happens if a session starts on a daytime tariff and runs into night hours?

The session continues on the tariff it was started with. IZI does not automatically switch mid-session to a different tariff. The schedule controls when a tariff can be sold and activated — not when it stops running.

Can a tariff be available on weekdays but not weekends?

Yes. Create a schedule with Monday–Friday selected and attach it to the tariff's Start schedule. The tariff won't appear at the cashier on Saturday and Sunday.

How do I handle the transition from night to morning automatically?

Use the Extra finish window on the night tariff — it gives players a buffer (e.g. until 08:00) to finish their session after the tariff's availability window closes at 07:00.
