Date Picker — How Period Selection Works in IZI CRM

Section titled “Date Picker — How Period Selection Works in IZI CRM”

The date picker appears in dozens of CRM sections: Analytics, transaction history, shift reports, data exports. It works the same everywhere — learn it once and you’ll navigate any section confidently.

The date picker restricts the data on screen to a specific time range. Without it you’d see your club’s entire history from day one — tens of thousands of rows. With it, you see only the slice you need: “this week”, “last month”, or any custom range.

For the business, this means comparing periods side by side, spotting dips and peaks, and preparing reports for a specific timeframe.

  • Analytics → Overview — main club dashboard, all KPI cards recalculate for the selected period
  • Analytics → Clients — registration timing, new clients count per period
  • Transaction history — filtering payments, top-ups, write-offs
  • Shift history — finding a specific shift by date
  • Export — downloading data for the selected range
  • Analytics → Top-Up Bonuses — daily dynamics of issued bonuses
  1. Find the date block at the top of the section — usually two dates “from … to …” or a dropdown with presets
  2. Click a preset (“Today”, “This week”, “This month”, “Last month”, “Last week”) — data updates instantly
  3. For a custom range, click the date field — a calendar opens. Select start date, then end date
  4. Click “Apply” or “Done” if the button is shown; in some sections data updates automatically after selecting the second date
  5. To reset to default — click the “Today” or “This month” preset

Choosing the right period is the foundation of any analysis. “This week” vs “last week” — you immediately see growth or decline. “This month” vs “last month” — you understand if it’s seasonality or a trend.

Common mistake: comparing unequal periods — “May 1–15” vs “April” (30 days). Numbers won’t be comparable. Use equal-length ranges for fair comparison.

To compare two periods directly in one widget, see Compare Periods Toggle.

  • “All time” is not available directly — maximum range depends on the section (usually up to 12 months per query)
  • Future dates cannot be selected — the calendar blocks dates after today
  • In some sections the minimum period is 1 day — “last 3 hours” is not possible
  • Timezone is taken from club settings — if the club is UTC+4, “today” starts at 00:00 UTC+4

Frequently asked questions

How do I select a custom period that isn't in the presets?

Click the 'from' date field — a calendar opens. Select the start date, then the end date. The system applies the range immediately after you pick the second date.

Can I select a period that crosses midnight (e.g. 10pm to 6am)?

Period selection works by calendar dates. For overnight shifts, select the opening date and the closing date — the system includes all transactions within that range.

Why does 'today' differ from 'current shift'?

'Today' covers all transactions from 00:00 of the current day. 'Current shift' starts from when the shift was opened. If the shift started yesterday at 10pm, the difference will be noticeable.

Does 'last week' mean Mon–Sun or the last 7 days?

It means Mon–Sun of the previous calendar week. If today is Wednesday, 'last week' is the Mon–Sun from 7 days ago — not the last 7 rolling days.

How do I quickly switch between months in the calendar?

Click the month name in the calendar header — a month list appears. Click the year — a year list appears. This is faster than clicking through arrows.
