Tariffs by Zone

Published: · IZI Team

In IZI, a single tariff can serve multiple zones with different prices per zone. This avoids maintaining duplicate tariffs — one “2 hours” tariff with Standard price = 100 and VIP price = 180, rather than two separate tariffs.

In the tariff’s Prices by Zone block:

  • Set a price for each zone where the tariff should be available.
  • Leave a zone’s price blank — the tariff will not appear at the cashier for devices in that zone.

The cashier interface automatically filters the tariff list based on the selected device’s zone. Staff only see relevant tariffs for the zone they’re working in.

To create a tariff available only in one zone (e.g. VIP-exclusive):

  1. Open the tariff or create a new one.
  2. In Prices by Zone, enter a price for VIP only.
  3. Leave Standard, Pro, and other zones blank.
  4. Save.

Staff selecting a Standard-zone device won’t see this tariff. It only appears when a VIP device is selected.

Zones without a price stay blank — that tariff row simply doesn’t appear for that zone.

Zone names and structure are configured in Settings → Zones before tariffs are created. If a zone doesn’t exist yet — set it up first, then return to configure tariff prices for it.

Frequently asked questions

Does each zone need its own separate set of tariffs?

No. One tariff can be available in multiple zones with different prices per zone. Only if you need truly different expiration rules or policies per zone do you need separate tariffs.

How do I make a tariff available in VIP only?

In the tariff's Prices by Zone block, enter a price for VIP and leave all other zones blank. The tariff will only appear at the cashier for VIP-zone devices.

What if a device has no tariffs configured for its zone?

The cashier will show no available tariffs for that device. Make sure at least one tariff has a price set for the zone the device belongs to.
