Taking an Order at the Counter
Taking a bar order at the counter is done through the same IZI cashier screen used for session tariffs. The full flow — select items, confirm payment, close the order — typically takes 30–60 seconds. When the order is confirmed, stock levels update automatically and the sale appears in the shift report with no extra steps required.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- An open shift
- A configured bar catalog with items and stock levels set up
If the catalog has not been set up yet, see Bar menu setup.
1. Open the Bar section
Section titled “1. Open the Bar section”In the sidebar select Bar. The screen shows all active orders for the current shift and a button to create a new one.
If the shift is not open, the “New order” button is unavailable. Open the shift first.
2. Create a new order
Section titled “2. Create a new order”Click New order (or the + button depending on your interface version). IZI will ask you to choose:
- Table / PC — links the order to a specific client or workstation
- No link — for a walk-up counter sale to a guest who is not at a PC
For quick counter sales, select No link.
3. Select items
Section titled “3. Select items”The bar catalog appears on screen. Tap a product to add it to the order; a quantity counter appears automatically.
Items with zero remaining stock are greyed out and cannot be selected.
To change the quantity of an item already in the order, tap it in the order list and adjust the number.
4. Review the total
Section titled “4. Review the total”The order total is shown at the bottom of the screen. Confirm with the client that the order is correct — you can still add or remove items before proceeding to payment.
5. Choose payment method
Section titled “5. Choose payment method”Tap Pay. Available options:
- Cash — enter the amount received from the client; CRM calculates change automatically
- Card — process on the terminal, then confirm in CRM once the terminal approves
- Bonus balance — available if the client has bonus credit and the club has enabled bonus payment for products (see Top-up bonus guide)
- Client balance — deducted from the client’s prepaid account
6. Confirm payment
Section titled “6. Confirm payment”After selecting the method and entering the amount, tap Confirm. The order closes, stock levels update automatically. Hand the items to the client.
7. Check in shift history (if needed)
Section titled “7. Check in shift history (if needed)”The closed order appears in the current shift order list, showing the total and payment method used. Use this to verify a specific transaction without opening the full report.
Linking an order to a client
Section titled “Linking an order to a client”If the client is at a specific PC and you want to add the order to their account or history, select their table or search by account number when creating the order.
This is useful for:
- Tracking per-client consumption
- Deducting payment from the client’s prepaid balance
- Combined tariff and bar orders — see Combo tariff + bar

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to identify the client for a bar order?
No. A counter order can be placed without linking it to a table or client account. It is recorded as a retail sale in the shift revenue.
Can the client pay with bonus points at the bar?
It depends on the club's settings. If bonus points are enabled for product payment, the bonus payment option appears at checkout when a client is identified.
What if an item is out of stock?
Items with zero remaining stock are greyed out and cannot be added to an order. Suggest an alternative or let the client know the item is temporarily unavailable.
Can I edit an order after creating it?
Yes, as long as the order is not yet paid. You can add or remove items freely. Once payment is confirmed the order is closed and cannot be modified.
How do I cancel an order?
An unpaid order can be deleted. A paid order is cancelled through a refund — this is a separate operation in IZI and creates a corresponding entry in the shift report.
