Blacklisting a Client

Published: · IZI Team

The blacklist is a warning flag on a client’s account. When a blacklisted client’s phone number is entered at the cashier, a warning displays — giving staff the context to make a decision about service.

  • Client caused damage to equipment
  • Unpaid balance dispute
  • Aggressive or disruptive behavior
  • Repeated policy violations
  1. Go to Clients in the CRM sidebar.
  2. Search for the client by phone number or name.
  3. Open the client card.
  4. Click the actions menu (three dots) → Add to blacklist.
  5. Enter a reason — this is what staff will see when the warning triggers.
  6. Confirm.

The client’s status in the system changes to Blacklisted. The reason is saved in the client record.

When a blacklisted client’s phone is entered at the cashier or during client lookup, a warning banner appears with the blacklist reason. Staff can:

  • Decline service
  • Proceed anyway (if the situation warrants it — e.g. ban was old, resolved dispute)
  • Contact the manager for a decision

IZI does not block the session automatically — it surfaces the information and lets staff decide.

  1. Open the client card.
  2. Actions menu → Remove from blacklist.
  3. Confirm.

The flag is removed. The client’s session history and balance are unchanged.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when a blacklisted client tries to use the club?

When the admin enters their phone number at the cashier, a blacklist warning appears. The admin can see the reason and choose whether to proceed or decline service. IZI doesn't automatically block the session — the decision stays with the staff.

Can a client be automatically added to the blacklist?

Not automatically. Blacklisting is always a manual action by an admin, manager, or owner.

How do I remove someone from the blacklist?

Open the client card → actions menu → Remove from blacklist. The blacklist entry is removed; the client's history is preserved.

Is the blacklist per-club or shared across clubs in the same organisation?

By default per-club. If shared loyalty is enabled for your organisation, the blacklist can be shared. Check with your IZI setup or support.
