Transferring a Session

Published: · IZI Team

Transfer moves an active session — including remaining time — from one device to another without interrupting it. The player experiences a brief transition and continues on the new PC.

  • Player wants a different seat (zone upgrade, different PC)
  • A hardware issue requires moving the player
  • Rebalancing the hall during peak hours

1. In the Hall view, click the source device

Section titled “1. In the Hall view, click the source device”

The device must have an active session.

From the device action menu.

A list of Free devices appears. Select the target PC.

If the desired PC is occupied — resolve that first.

Both devices update:

  • Source PC → returns to Free
  • Destination PC → becomes Active, timer continues from where it left off

The session record is updated with the new device — the full session history (source + destination) is visible in the client’s profile.

Frequently asked questions

Does the timer pause during the transfer?

The transfer takes a few seconds. Technically the timer continues, but the brief transition time is negligible in practice.

Can I transfer to a device in a different zone?

Yes, but the tariff's per-zone price may differ. IZI transfers the session as-is — the tariff and remaining time transfer intact, no price recalculation. The difference in zone pricing is not charged on transfer.

What if the destination PC is not free?

You can only transfer to a Free device. End or move the existing session on the target PC first.

Does the client need to do anything on their end?

No. The transfer is transparent to the player. The session appears on the new PC automatically.
